50 years ago Secretariat won the Triple Crown and shattered all records that still stand today. Voted the  35th best athlete of the 20th century. He did it without scandal, steriods, performing enhancing drugs. The only advantage he had was that his heart was 2 1/2 times larger than a normal horse. 8 to 9 lbs. vs Secretariat  at 22 lbs. And. That was God given. I still get goose bumps every time I watch That Race.

I like horses, but I don't always trust horses.  The first one I rode spent all afternoon trying to rub me off on every tree we passed.  It's hard to assert dominance over a big horse at 11.   Grin

What I have always found strange and goofy is the names given to almost all race horses.
