Well my fellow Valk brothers I must bid a farewell.  This board has been a great source of fellowship as well as information that helped me restore a 98 Tourer.  I loved that bike.  It was a real gem.  I started a few years ago with a garage find that was sitting for 8 years.  After months of work I got that 98 running like new and looking even better than new.  Much of that happened because of the advise I received on this board.  Only got to put 11K miles on her over the last two years.  Back in Nov. 2022 I was cruising down the highway enjoying the ride when out of nowhere a SUV ran a stop sign and in a split second I t boned the car doing around 50.  Needless to say it was not what I had in mind when I took off that Saturday morning.  I was on my way to meet up with a friend and ride the Twisted Sisters roads here in the Hill Country of Texas.  Ive done that ride dozens of times.

I woke up in the ambulance on my way to a San Antonio Trauma hospital.  8 months later I am still working on getting my body back to walking.,  I crushed and shattered my right ankle and had a compound fraction along with a shoulder injury and a concussion.  Thank God I was wearing all my gear.  I see guys now on the road hauling ass with no safety gear at all and I cringe every time.

So I said all that to say this.  Insurance totaled the bike.  I am still in a legal fight with the other driver.  280K of medical bills and counting.  Hope to ride again but no sure with my right leg and shoulder being what it is now.

So over the last two years I rebuilt that bike ground up and along the way I purchased all kinds of parts and equipment for just that.  I sort of went overboard with parts thinking I would be on the bike for years to come and with the age of the bike I thought parts might get harder to find. Now I have a garage stacked with everything from extra intake filters to new progressive fork springs to spark plugs, o-rings, oil and filters, bike lift, 6 pipe cobra exhaust, tools etc.  The list is long and all is new.  I even bought a digital sync vacuum gauge for the carbs (used one time) My question is this.  I need to get this stuff to another Valk owner and not sure how to go about that.  I thought about putting the complete list and pictures on Ebay or Craigslist.  I looked at receipts and I have app. 2K worth of Valkyrie parts and tools.  I was just hoping to get about half that.  Does anyone in the San Antonio area know of a bike shop that would be interested in this ?
I am open for suggestions and appreciate the input. Best contact is my email- pajjr@twc.com
What I was really hoping for was another guy like me who was rebuilding a Valk and needed to stuff.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and be safe.  I have always been a guy who rides with the best safety gear.  Please do the same.

Sorry to read about your crash.

Glad you are OK enough to write about it and still look forward to possibly riding again!

Cross post this to the General Board and the Classifieds.  There are a number of Facebook groups, also.

First off, glad you are mending.

Make a list and place an ad in the VRCC classifieds or here first, that way you know they will go to actual Valk people.
