Hi everyone,  just wanted to give a lil update on Gig and say that surgery for skull replacement went well 2day.  They also removed the feeding tube while he was out. He'll be under the neuro teams care for a couple of days and then the orthopedic team will take over from there to harvest bone from the hip to replace what was lost from the leg.
He seems to be in good spirits fir the most part & is staying pretty positive.

Good news!  Did they say how big the missing piece of bone is?  It is crazy that he lost that, I would guess it was either in the ambulance or helicopter when they cut his boot off.  Have him call me when he can.  And you take care of yourself.

Gig, get better soon.

A bushel of good thoughts being sent out as I type. Grab hold of them and put them to use. Wishing you all the best.  cooldude

"Ginger" and I had a great visit with Gig and Lulu on Saturday.

He still has a long road ahead of him but he is doing remarkably well after all that he has been through.

Keep the prayers coming, our God is an AWESOME God!

Got to visit Gig and Lulu yesterday.  He is doing great and looking forward to the Fall Color Ride, although they will be driving the van/car to the event.  He just went thru the Humpty Dumpty procedure where the Kings men put him back together--actually just his head.  He is getting a bone graft this week then it is off to recuperation.  He was in good spirits, misses his dog and his house, both of which he will soon be reunited.  Theresa is quite a gal.  What an ordeal for her-- all which she seems to be handling with grace and optimism.

He and Theresa also told me how much the visit by Mark(?) 3Fan4Life and his wife on Saturday meant to them and how much she enjoyed going to dinner.  Good on you Mark, a long drive to make a friend's day a bit better.

My best wishes to Gig and family.  Hope and prayers go a long way so let Gig know he's in our thoughts and prayers.

This is a pretty tight community, we're all pulling for Gig.
