Going to go back to a MC tire for awhile and need a rotor for a 1J wheel.  I was going to search pinwall, but don't remember what years and models use the 1J.

Anyone have quick access to that info?

OK, after looking at my wheels, I answered my own question. The rotors for the 1J wheels have the retaining bolts sitting on the surface of the rotor, and the 2J rotors are recessed. I can tell by looking st the pictures on pinwall or eBay.

Howdy Pancho!

I got a good one from Pinwall and have been running it for years now.
My other one had developed a big lip...

Hey Mike      Good to see you.    I'm still using the one the one that was on the bike when I got it, and it was worn out then! I found one on Pinwall that looks good and it is on the way. We will see when it gets here.

I've got a rear rotor you can have.  I  got confused a couple of years ago and bought the wrong one for my 2001.  You can have it.  Just let me know and I'll bring it to you.

Peace, Ron.

Hey Ron, I just bought one from Pinwall yesterday and it is on the way,   BUT,  if the one you have is for a 1J wheel, and it is "good" (no or minimal lip) I would take that and fifty bucks to do that spline exchange you mentioned and build you a final drive for it. I have a 2J wheel with a decent tire I am putting on now, but have 3 1J rear wheels so I could use the rotor.

You got it bud.  I'll  double check it.  If memory serves ,  It's within spec with very small lip.   Rear tire on my standard is almost done maybe couple hundred miles left.  I"ll call and  make sure your home in next couple of days and get you that rotor.

Keep in mind Ron, I said "no or minimal wear" , I was hoping you had a new one, I don't need another one with a lip,, that is why I just bought one yesterday.  Bring your drives down when you get ready and we'll take a look and see what you have and talk about it. Hope all is well with you folks.

Received the 1J rotor from Pinwall today, .2757 in. which is just over 7mm. I got a good one and now can put it on the wheel with a new Metzeler 888 and try that out. Pinwall came through again.

Put a older Dunlop tire on until the rotor came in as it is on a 2J wheel with a good rotor. I'm always surprised when I switch between a MC tire and a car tire, the differences that you get used to fairly  quickly,, both good, just different. Right now I am appreciating the nimbleness of the MC tire, and will stick with these for awhile.
