this is brighter than the LED bulb it replaces and then much brighter when brakes are applied.
flashes three times just as bright and then stays on steady.

I've been using similar bulbs for years in the Interstate, since getting rear ended and losing the BonS lights.
Replaced with them in the trunk and fender brake bulbs.  They're bright, and all three bulbs flash simultaneously.  Definitely gets your attention!

Mind posting what brand you've had good success with?  I bought some Brishine that I was happy with initially but failed within a year so I went back to stock.

Anyone actually use them on an Interstate? I took my brake light bulb out and it doesn't have the 1157 metal base, the picture looks like 1157 bulb socket even though Amazon says they should fit? Mine look like the 7443 bulbs.

You are correct.  If the Interstate brake lights you are using are in the trunk these don't fit.

P.S.  Unless you have previously converted them to 1157.

This is correct, but  similar LED bulbs are made with the"flash and hold" feature that replace the trunk's brake bulbs.  I know because I installed them in my trunk.  They flash a synchronized five times each, then hold.

If you click on the link to the site, you have choices.

7443 is one of choices.

I just ordered the 7443. For that price why not give them a try.  Also, anyone find a replacement LED for the inner tail light bulb on the Interstate? I've searched Google and Amazon and can't find one. I figured I might as well change all the bulbs to LED if I can. cooldude

I got my new LED brake light bulbs yesterday and installed them. All I can say is I wish I had done it a sooner. It took me less than 15 minutes to swap them out. They are at least 3 times brighter than the old bulbs. I also love the three flash feature. I guess only time will tell how long they'll last.  cooldude

Yes.  An electronic relay should make the LED bulbs flash at the correct rate.  I got a 3 pin LED flasher from Amazon.  (Not sure what is available on Canada Amazon.)

https://www.amazon.com/MFC-PRO-Electronic-problems-FLR-MFC2/dp/B082X6DX6L/ref=sr_1_6?crid=72MZJRMDMS8I&keywords=3%2Bwire%2Bled%2Bmotorcycle%2Bflasher&qid=1693401352&sprefix=3%2Bwire%2Bled%2Bmotorcycle%2Bflaher%2Caps%2C152&sr=8-6&th=1

And, a standard or tourer will need the "non-polar" T5 LED for the turn indicator in the bucket.  eBay has them.  Or you can splice wires and solder in diodes. :'(

Love 'em too.  It was actually a blessing in disguise that I couldn't find replacement BonS trunk lights.  These are equally bright, plus they have the added safety of flashing thrice before holding steady.  You're right, mine flash three times and hold, not five times.  With a relay my trunk and fender brake lights all flash in sync.  Hopefully no more getting rear ended for me.

I was pulled over by a LEO for having flashing brake lights here in Michigan. I did however swap my OEM with Sylvania "Super Bright" from auto parts place. Way brighter. They do say "off road use only", so don't tell anyone.

Wow, I would think that's pretty rare since flashing LED brake lights are pretty common on motorcycles.  Maybe the officer just wanted to make sure you weren't a hellion.  As far as the off road use disclaimer, I'd rather someone have to squint for a second than not notice my brakes at all.

what I have found is that a constant flashing red-light is a no-no.
every State motorcycle handbook directs rider to flash brake light on/off a few times when braking to alert driver behind for safety.
some states have laws allowing brake light to auto flash 4 or less times and then steady on.  many states have zero laws about that.

I'm sure the LEO was trying to make a statement. He was young. I did research on the law and yup, it's right there, flashing is a nope. I left the lights but turned off the flash.

Hey, 98Valk, thanks for the tip!  I used HyperLites on my old CBX, but didn't want to go through the hassle of wiring it into the Valk, so I bought the iBrightStar bulbs you recommended.  The ones they sent me didn't blink, so I returned them, but it was a blessing in disguise:  I ordered these for $10, and it works great - I even ordered a pair for my Toyota truck:

I ordered and received a set of bulbs from the original post at the top of this thread.  I have returned them.  The brake led was on all of the time as a tail light.  When the brake light was energized all it would do was constantly flash the same leds.  I have added the last link to my wish list and may give it a try.
