I told Willow I'd try and get him a calendar picture. If this string posts, I'll do a short write up as a reply. If not I'll have to post them one by one in the reply.

The first 3 pictures are the Old Denton County, Court House, 1896, less than one days ride from anywhere in Denton, that's horse not bike ride.   I think the third one will be submitted for calendar.
Picture 4 is Texas Woman's University in Denton
Picture 5 is The Elm Fork Bridge, erected in 1922 just West of Aubrey on 428
Picture 6 is Pilot Point Town Square
Pictures 7 & 8 are the Lake Ray Roberts shallows just west of Tioga on 922
Picture 9 is a ranch just east of the Tioga city limit on 922. There are many beautiful ranches from here
through Collinsville and Whitesboro. That's another day, today I was trying to beat the heat.
Picture 10 The Flag at Van Alstyne, got there too late the sun was already over the building
Picture 11 Celina town square
Picture 12 The Green Belt area of Ray Roberts State Park, just below the dam.

The 130 mile trip I took today is considered part of the Prairies and Lakes area of Texas. I really love the area between Lake Ray Roberts and the Red River. Nice roads, extremely low traffic and good restaurants. Today I rode 455 from Anna to Celina for some really good twisties. Most roads have good sweepers through beautiful ranch land.

Today I was also shaking down a new set of wings and some header shielding. My 6 x 6 headers with packed baffles get pretty hot. My modifications did really well. I pulled into Panera in Denton for lunch at 11:45 am, I had already logged 120 miles and the Temperature was 104 degrees. I was hot, but I didn't need to stop to put on cool gear, and I hadn't used highway pegs at all. Before the mods, I would have had cooling gear on by 9 am and my feet would have been on the highway pegs whenever possible.

The theme for today is Wings Work!

Great pics! Great bike! We're not too far apart. Should meet up sometime for a ride! I submitted my profile pic which is from St Jo's on a ride I did up by the river.

St Jo's a nice area to ride. Last year my wife and I went up through St Jo over the Indian bridge into Oklahoma through Ringling and Comanche to Medicine Park. We like to hike so we spent time in the wild life preserve during the days hiking. It was a really nice trip. Very little traffic pretty nice roads.  We did ride through a swam of grasshoppers coming back over the Ok boarder. Those things really hurt.

I would be up for a ride up north toward the Red River. It seems like there might be others too now that the weather is getting nice. I'm retired so I'm pretty flexible.
