Come Saturday we will be enjoying a Solar Eclipse.   Our town is about dead center of the path of this event.   Sounds like a number of folks are coming this way to enjoy the event.  Some going to Crater Lake area.   Only real issue is that all the campgrounds are closed.  So, the locals came up with the idea of opening up a pasture to make a temporary campground.  Should be interesting.  We, DW and I, will be sitting on back porch to see the event.  Only problem is the weather.  Seems we have a wet pattern setting up.  So may not see it.

We had a solar eclipse visible here in the Carolinas a few years ago.  It was very impressive and the weather was nice and clear.

So, enjoy the event.

I think, sometime in years past I did try and get a photograph of a solar eclipse through one of my telescopes.  I think this is the image.  But.....

This is a lunar eclipse image, much easier to obtain.

All were taken via the telescope and using a 35mm camera and film.
