recently passed away. For those non Cowboy fans, he was a running back many moons ago. A very interesting character indeed. Google algorithms are pretty amazing. This came across my YouTube today. I found it interesting, you may also.

Thanks, but I’m going to stay with Walt’s explanation that he grew the tree up thru the washer.
He was quite the character.

He was at OUS when I went to school. Nodding acquaintance. Ate number of meals with him at the same table in the jock dorm. Always thought he was a good dude. Enjoyed watching him play at the university and props level. Sorry to hear he has passed.

I was the photographer at a charity golf tournament in Fort Worth and he was the celebrity the golfers took pictures with. We rode around in a golf cart, stopping to do the photos with the foursomes. Talked to him about the games I saw him in, the great players for the Cowboys and one particular play where he was stopped at the 1 yard line while playing Washington. He was a very friendly man, not at all "celebrity" in the way he posed and talked with everyone and I was so impressed with one of my football heroes. RIP Walt!
