You saw one of these?

Here’s where it gets good

My father bought this in the late seventies. I put fresh gas in it this morning and after a good bit of yanking and fiddling with the choke, she fired right up and runs like new.

Thats pretty cool, when you see something like this you realize how much things have changed. I didn't realize that they had them that early on either.  cooldude cooldude

I have to assume you shorten the length of the tube knowing you got it running for your wife?

She wanted to swing it like a sling blade. She can be down right dangerous.

LOL!  That may be my favorite movie.  I especially like the scene where one of the characters calls out, "Carl!  Carl!" as he is walking away.   Smiley

Since this is now a Sling Blade thread, in a movie full of favorite scenes, I do believe this is still my favorite:

that clip reminds me last winter now my daughters ex-fiancee (they broke up, sold house together, 2 months prior to wedding) he said the 150 dollar old JD snowblower I bought them in northern WI was running fine then all of a sudden died on him snowblowing a bad storm.   Got up there a week or so later to visit,  first thing I did was check for gas.  YEP, EMPTY.  I fired it right up and ran fine.    Man,  who woulda thunk gas engines require gas to run?

Sounds like she dodged one heck of a bullet by not marrying such a "Winner".
