The shooter who killed 3 and wounded more at UNLV was a applicant for a professors position at the college!?!?!? Kudos to the university for having denied his acceptance. By the same token, it’s disturbing to think that there are people this unbalanced wanting into our institutions of higher learning. I don’t know the specifics of this person as to his background or experience for applying for a professors position but this lets us know we have a problem and it’s not guns.

The three University Presidents who recently testified in Congress don’t  inspire confidence either. It was suggested that they have their positions because they checked the right boxes not true qualifications to lead.

However, the Nevada law allows adults to carry guns in schools with permission from an official with the Nevada System of Higher Education, principal or director of a child care 12. It is illegal to carry a dangerous weapon or firearm to a Nevada System of Higher Education, Public or Private school or child care center without permission 1.
