ClearView still makes a great shield for the Honda brackets and fairings, but no hardware available.

Sorry to hear this. I've used Rifle windshields on my other non-Valkyrie bike for over 20 years.

Edit: to clarify bike.

I was going to make the same claim but felt the heat of impending indignation flames for the comment. Wink

I'm not too surprised. I bought the Memphis Fats hardware for my Valk in 1998 and two replacement plastics in 1999 and 2001. And nothing since. Once their Valkyrie inventory runs out I can't see them making more. These smaller vendors eventually retire. The Heritage leather company comes to mind. They closed during the 2008 crash. I still run one of their tank bibs.

Same topic, but kinda different. Asking for a friend.
I love my 98 Tourer with the clear windscreen. Just wondering though, what kind of a project would it be to install an Interstate fairing?

Search my 1500 Tech posts for the Batwing/Trigger-Lock Plates mod I did.

In short: A set of Victory Vegas Plates (P/N MEK1721 or MEB1721) can be modified to allow the use of a Fats windshield with the Bat Wing mounts. Why Memphis didn't do this out of the gate is anyone's question. The mod involves lengthening one of the mounting holes in each Plate by ~3/8". I used a rat-tail file and a bit of patience but if there was enough demand (or I needed a bunch more) I'd build a fixture for a knee mill and do them that way.

ETA:

The MEK style is polished aluminum and the MEB, black. Years ago I bought a tall Fats from one of our members (John-in-NC, IIRC). This shield wears a tri-pouch. It got the first set of converted plates. The second set (black) will go on a slightly shorter Fats which has a black gradient at the bottom.

Swapping is easy. I could have done it 20 times in the time it took me to write this out. All windshields are stable at high speeds.

Bonus:

Anyone remember the Bob Dron mini fairing (for an H-D Road King) which Dragbars, TNT and a few others used to run on their Valkyries? If you modify the Dron's side plates to use the Memphis mounts (per an old Shop Talk article), swapping between the Fats/Batwing and the Dron is fairly simple. The bottom clamp mount (3 total per side) is the original Fats mount for the Valkyrie while the top two are for the Bat Wing Trigger-lock system. You remove the shield or fairing plus plates, remove the rubber flange mounts and hardware from the two upper clamps on each side then drop the Dron fairing plus mounts over the remaining clamp assemblies. The mounts are secured by the 1/4-20 SHCS and aluminum cone washers that are part of the original Fats fork clamps - 3ea per side.

I go back and forth with this arrangement and the Bat Wing on my Tourer. It's worked well for years and years.
