I searched the forums and found how to remove them, but the previous owner of my I/S had removed the letters from the back of the trunk. I want to replace them. I have them, just need the dimension from the lip of the trunk lid to the botom of the letters, and the distance between letters, maybe the length of the word 'VALKYRIE' as it is on your bike, that would help me with spacing dimension. Also, what is the best material to attach them. Needs to be thin and strong. Any help appreciated. I'm trying to get it back to stock, and I'm almost there... Rick @ rmcelrath@gmail.com

When you order them from Honda (I bought them through HDL), they come pre-spaced sandwiched between paper. Peel the back make sure for center and straight. Press them down and pull the front paper off.
I think they were $31.00 if you don't want the hassle of putting on individual letters... which would be a pain I would think. Good luck.

I think it would be VERY difficult to place the letters one at a time and get them straight. Sounds like $31.00 (if they still are available) would be a great price.

Bottom of letters are 3/4 of an inch above the lip of the trunk lid.
There is 7/16 of an inch between the bottom or top points of the letters.
The bottom tip of the "K" is centered above the lock center.

Very easy to get straight!!!! Measure 3/4 of an inch up mark with something that will come off and make another mark a little further down and now run a piece of tape along the marks and walla straight line now just put the letters on the line and you are done!!!!

Check an automotive paint store for double sided 3M tape. They should be able to help you out.

Normal doublesided tape is easy to get, but Honda uses a special, very thin, die cut tape for it's letters. I'd just buy the set, as cutting the tape to fit the letters, well, life is just too short.....

This really looks like the way to go. I'll use the old letters for a picture frame or something..
