During a ride this morning around Bellville Tx on side of road saw this years first bluebonnets.   A small patch of them.    There were also a few scattered Indian paint brushes.  Bring em on mother nature....

As I walked across my yard yesterday and saw about 5 bluebonnets perking up!
During this time of year I always mow/weed-eat around the bluebonnets hoping they'll seed more for next year! Seems to be working!

I agree "Bring em on mother nature...."

I rode out to Cypress Mill yesterday...no bluebonnets yet.  Got some good whiffs of mountain laurel even though I didn't see their distinctive purple blooms.  The red buds were in full bloom.

Nice ride, good weather and little to no traffic.

Got to ride 270 miles today in the countryside.  Patches of bluebonnets here and there starting to bloom.   At the Baylor ruins in Independence Tx bluebonnets are in full bloom.   I think the state must seed and fertilize there.  The bluebonnets are thick there.
