The bluebonnets finally bloomed here in the Central Texas Hill Country.  Didn't have to ride very far to get a decent picture of 'em either -- this pic was taken at the entrance to my neighborhood...

Bluebonnets, Indian Paint Brushes, Butter Cups, etc. are all blooming right now.  They're fairly thick this year and you can smell their fragrance as you cruise the Hill Country.

Nice photography (as always).   cooldude

When I see the word Bluebonnet, it reminds me of one of my favorite movies - Open Range.

Costner:  Boss, I'm askin' you straight out, what's your first name.

Duvall:    It's Bluebonnet (Spearman) Charlie, but don't you tell nobody.

Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas.  It's a yearly tradition here to take photos of your loved ones -- like our Valkyries -- in a bunch of bluebonnets.

Or just take photos of the bluebonnets themselves.  This pic is from a wild patch of bluebonnets that have popped up every year in our back yard since before we moved here 27 years ago...

(By the way, I've worked with those two actors on various projects.  They're both good guys in person.)

I would bet that they are.

The word was Robt Duvall bought a ranch or farm out around The Plains and Marshall VA (Western Northern VA) (horse country).  And that he set up his wife with a little restaurant in The Plains.  By the time I heard about this the restaurant had been sold.

The Plains is a little one horse town.

But sometimes there's more than one.
