I was walking through the parking lot at work the other day and couldn't help but appreciate the contrast.

Love that spare tire right where your knees will bang against it.  Roll Eyes

Funny the little thing in back is probably worth more than the "rice burner".

Why does it's center stand put the front wheel in the air instead of the back?  That just seems wrong.

With the economy and our problems in the Middle East, the scooter might be the future desired ride.

I would guess because there is a 150 pound engine, gas tank, seat and drive wheel in the back.??

OMG... that's just too funny.  Reminds me of a former VRCC/VERMIN member.  His idol was Indiana Jones, his handle was "IndyJ".  Yup... he wore the fidora too.  Anywho... he lived on the boards for a while, trying to get help in selecting his dream bike, a Valk.  He RODE a Vespa.  Now... the funny part is, he made his mind up that he was gonna run with us one weekend (on his Vespa) on one of our outings.  We managed to convince him that wasn't a good plan of attack.  Well... come Saturday morning, he shows up with a brand spanking new Goldwing, with EVERY option available on it, all new riding gear, and he's ready to rock and roll with the crew.  I think he was on his maiden tank of fuel on the 'Wing too.  Otay... it's departure time from the meeting point and I had point.  We pull out of the gas station and go one block to the traffic light.  When it turns green, we head up to get onto the freeway onramp.  Within ONE mile of the initial traffic light, no one had seen him.  To make a long story short... we just plain lost him within 1/4 mile of stretch and one sweeping right (no other option for the road too) after leaving the light.  The Goldwing lasted maybe a month and he traded it in on a new VTX.  Last I heard, he was back on a scooter.  Never did ride with him.  LOL
