It was suggested to me in a previous post that my bike may be running to rich. I have a 98 standard that gets 25mpg. No matter the weather it never needs the choke. My 2003 standard gets 32 when cold it does need the chock both bikes run great. Both idle at about 950 rpm. Not sure where to go from here

if it doesn't need choke its too rich on the pilot jet if it was changed from stock or the idle mixtures screws are set too rich.
end of plug thread see i.e., #2  should be peppered with carbon.

When was the last time you replaced the air cleaner? A dirty one is guaranteed to make it run rich.
Checking sync then trimming the pilot screws to get near max rpm at idle will help, too; not easy to adjust pilot screws without burning fingers, though.

Highly recommend the motion pro carb tool, no burnt fingers and its able to get into the tight space. I tried the cheaper tool by pit posse and it is too big for the small area. Using a Colortune spark plug you can easily dial in each carb.

Even with the M P tool, it is easy to touch the hot valve covers, so caution is advised.

Does anyone have info on the colortune kit for the Valk?  I'm getting G4172 on amazon, but it's showing as 10mm.

Thats the incorrect one. You need G4171 12mm. I purchased mine here https://www.freedomracing.com/review/product/list/id/15798/
. They provided great customer service and shipped quickly. In order to use the colortune you need to either be able to run the bike inside with dim lighting or wait til it is dark outside so you can see the changes in color. Also you need to insulate the connection between the plug and the extension cable, either with heat shrink or electrical tape, if not you will get spark jumps from the extension to the engine block.

If you have engines with more than one plug diameter, you can get extra adapters for the Colortune.

I have seen that, my question is though, which plug size do you need to own to fit the adapters

You don't. Each adapter fits into the viewing tube on its own.
I just checked the web site, and I see that they don't have the adapters set up as independent units any more, as is mine. The data on the adapters will probably say which spark adapter they will fit.
https://www.gunson.co.uk/search?toolconnection search 'colortune'

I just looked again, and all the adapters listed fit the 14mm primary adapter.
