I’d like to take a minute to wish all those celebrating Passover a very warm and peaceful celebration.

With all the ridiculous things happening now I hope in some way spending time with family and friends eases the situation and brings you all back some peace and happiness. Stand strong and stay safe.

I had to look up prayers for Passover, I found a few but I thought this one was very fitting. Hopefully it is appropriate.

God Bless and be safe.

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Ruler of the world, Creator of the fruit of the vine.

Blessed are You, Our God, Sovereign of the universe, who has chosen us from among the peoples, exalting us by hallowing us with mitzvot. In Your love, Adonai our God, You have given us feasts of gladness, and seasons of joy; this Festival of Pesach, season of our freedom, a sacred occasion, a remembrance of the Exodus from Egypt. For You have chosen us from all peoples and consecrated us to Your service, and given us the Festivals, a time of gladness and joy.

Blessed are You, Adonai, who sanctifies Israel and the Festivals.

That, Mike is the prayer I read in hebrew which coincides with drinking the first of the 4 cups of wine

After that most of the Seder I lead is in english as it is about recounting the story, not showing off language skill for others

My grandfather always did the whole thing in hebrew which was fine for him.  But nobody understood what the words meant.

We start with telling each other what we are grateful for and it kinda sets the mood for a wonderful evening  Then after dinner the singing and banging on the table

tonite we have 13 people,  mostly kids  will be noisy   Grin

You guys are getting to me! Wishing you a great Passover with lots of love from your Michigan friends!
The Seders I’ve had the honor  of attending were  solemn and ecclectic at the same time.   Very memorable, tradition of the open setting aT Seder table is one my favorite rites Wish I could hear OSSs Exodus Passover story verbally.   smitten cooldude cheers / GiG “movement of the people…”

Well that’s good because the site I found it on said it was a wine and dinner prayer.  cooldude

Thanks gentlemen. I appreciate the information, things I was sort of aware of but did not understand.

It's good to have more information.  Learning is power.

I too, hope all celebrating Passover have a very warm and peaceful celebration.

Cool, Brother, we’d be honored either way, it’s about time angel to visit Tappan Terrace !
We’ve been talking bout y’all today & Lulu said she wanted to call but was unsure of the holiday protocol & all…  we just had a mildly entertaining encounter with a East coast guy claiming NJwas the birthplace of punk rock, I collected my jaw & said to him “right Buddy , John bovi single handedly invented rock n rolll, therefore “Living on a Dream” is the single greatest performance of al time” forget about it ….

I had a V22 Osprey pass over my house today, in helicopter mode, and only at about 500 feet.  Following two big regular helicopters (looking like Marine 1).  Pretty impressive looking aircraft.

Most likely coming from Ft Belvoir's Davison Army Airfield, which is only a few miles south of me.

Apologies for my use of pass over, it's just my stream of consciousness working.  No offense intended.

Excellent, that's almost always my goal Evan.    Grin cooldude

But if I erred, I'm sorry for it.  I don't make fun of anybody's religion, and certainly not the Jewish one (which seems to be popular with a lot of assholes these days).  Some of my very good friends during my lifetime.   Smiley
