I was at my hunting lease couple weeks ago 160 miles away and left some keys there that I need.  Good day for a ride so I headed out on my Valkyrie at 6:30 am this morning.  Got my keys at the lease and headed back and took a detour coming home to go down some scenic country roads and managed to get in a 360 mile day.    Pulled in to my driveway and I was 2 miles short of 120,000 miles so I cranked back up and ran down the street and back and now have 120,002 miles on my Valkyrie.

Around 7:00am this morning I was on a 2 lane windy twisty road out of Bartlett Tx on hyway 487 and topped a small hill and in the ditch was a badly mangled Harley Dresser.   I stopped and felt of the engine and it was cold so it didnt just happen but just for precaution I walked all around the area in high grass looking for a body.    A man in a truck stopped and we did a thurough search in the tall grass.   Nothing but motorcycle parts there so I left.   The man in the truck said he would call it in to the police as soon as he got to the next town and got a signal on his phone.....hope and pray the rider/riders are ok.

It’s had to be a very tough process to first see the damaged bike and then go about searching the area wondering what you might find. On one hand there’s the feeling of please let me find this guy and on the other it can be geeze I hope someone found him/ saw the accident and gave him a ride.

Ya did a good thing.  cooldude Wonder how many others passed and did what you did and how many passed and didn’t.

Terry,

Well done! There is, in my view, an unspoken social contract we all have with each other to render aid when needed. I've had several instances where nice folks have stopped to check on me or render aid if needed. I've also done the same. Good people like you contribute to the well-being and confidence of all who dare to venture out... Good on ya for doing the right thing!!!

Good on you.  cooldude It's good to know there are still a few good people out there that will take the time to stop and help.
