I know this probably belongs in the classifieds, but I have found nothing in there concerning them.

I am tired of riding in cold weather without much protection on my legs, and I am very frugal (cheap).

I am looking for some used chaps, that perhaps someone has outgrown or gotten some newer ones for whatever reason.

I tried a pair of large and I think they were a little too snug, so probably extra large.  I have a fairly short inseam, but healthy thighs.

Anyone have anything they aren't using and would be willing to part with reasonably?

Check these out, new for $50.

Excellent quality leather.  We have three of their leather jackets and two pair of chaps.

Ray, I'll try to seek out my old cheap chaps.  I have a 30 inch inseam and 25 inch thighs.  If I find them will that work for you?

I got a set from here  www.jafrum.com/
Then got some flannel material and velcro at Jo-Ann fabrics..
Cut it to fit and now have chaps that can take 30 degree temps all day long.

Ebay is a good choice.  Be careful of quality.  Low price will not get you top quality, but if careful, should get some that are decent.

No decisions made yet.  I had looked at ebay, but was very reluctant to buy them there too cheaply.  Concerned about fit and quality.

Right now, leaning towards the ones from Leatherup, one of the early suggestions.  Going to wait a bit longer before making decision.  Thanks to all for input.

What ever chaps you get,...remember to never wear them without pants and underwear! Don't do it even if your wife asks. It is not a pretty sight. coolsmiley

I have a wholesale account with leather up.  If anybody needs anything from them just let me know and I will see about putting an order together and saving you some extra $$ off their already low prices.
Thanks

With silk longjohns under jeans tucked into my boots I'm good into the 30's... silk longjohns are thin and you can wear two pairs...

Chaps are cool looking, though, and jeans tucked into your boots are goofy looking  coolsmiley

hmmm... and draggin' jeans and silk longjohns ain't cheap either...

They got them at a sporting goods place in Anderson (Gradys)...

They got them (sometimes) at LLbean...

I get mine from this frilly looking place: http://www.wintersilks.com/

I got the longjohns, the long sleeve undershirt, the glove liners and the socks...

It is alright if your a woman and want to wear it this way.

I find it better if you go try them on. One companys might fit at a certain size but another company and your a different size. Make sure you get them a little bigger for them 'i feel fat' days. Also when you put them on, bend and squat to see how they feel. Cheap could be better. Kit has a pair this is really thick leather and we only paid $70 or so. I wear chaps alot.

XL's from the HD store were too big.
I ended up buying some cheap ones in a 4X and they were a little tight.......go figure.
