This nice little gathering was a great success IMNSHO.
I had a great time in my 1222 Valk miles. I regretfully left DDT at 0800 this morning in Russellville, AR and arrived at Casa de Valker at 3:55 this afternoon.
Bruce and I had a wonderful time visiting way more than we've gotten to do previously. We had a pretty local ride guide (sorry, I forgot his name), but Bruce and I had too much talking to do to ride much.
I'd post some pics, but I don't know how without a hosting site.

It kinda sounds like what motorcycling should be. Great you guys got to do what guys do on a mini adventure. Ok, I’m jealous, even though I had a great weekend with family. Life is better it you don’t turn on the tv to which I have been addicted for much of my life.

Valker,

I've never thought of myself as pretty...but thanks.  It was a pleasure visiting with two Valk legends.  Listening to you guys reminisce about your journey's was enlightening for me.  I can only hope I'll be able to travel on my Valk half the distance you guys have done over the years.  Although we didn't get to ride together as much as I would have liked, I did get to lead you guys on part of one of my favorite rides in the great state of Arkansas.  When I took off North on Hwy. 7 about a mile up there was a car being pulled out of the ditch by a wrecker blocking the whole roadway.  I got tired of waiting so I turned around and jumped back on 123, only South this time.  Riding much more spirited than our ride up it, and back down I 40 West to the house.  Maybe next time we'll be able to find more time for riding together.  Be safe on your journey to Alaska my new friend.  Maybe someday I could join you. By the way my handle is "Yukon" Cornelious, like from Rudolph.  One of my riding buddies, Jeff..you met him on Nebo, gave it to me years ago when I had a huge beard.  Sometimes "handles" are easier to remember than names.  Valker, DDT, Yukon...sure gave all those harley guys somethink to talk about at our last stop.

Peace, Ron.

Eric & Ron,

I'm working on my own recollection of events to post later, so I won't go into much detail here. For this striving adventurer that day was really special and one of those we can never script but always are so grateful to have stumbled upon! Thank you both for hanging with me and for sharing 'yourselves' so generously... Good food, good ride, good weather, good locale, fabulous companions! Dang, I'll treasure the memories we made long after my final ride... Thank you both a whole bunch!!!
