Yesterday I searched for diners in the Gardner area because I was planning on riding up that way today. The search yielded the Blue Moon Diner on Main Street. I had ridden by it multiple times but never saw it. It's tucked away perpendicular to Main Street. It's an original Worcester Dining car that's been in Gardner since 1949. Over time it's been added to on one end with additional tables and rest rooms. But the original dining car is intact. It's a gem.

Typical diner menu and my portion today was huge! My go-to is an Irish Benedict with corned beef hash instead of Canadian bacon. It was delicious!  The home fries were done on the grill, they way I like. Not in the deep fryer.  If you're in the area, give it a try.  cooldude

cooldude Yes the Blue Moon Diner is a long time favorite here in Gardner, especially for breakfast. There's also the Hen House which is also pretty good. The next time you're up this way try Williams or the Gardner Ale House. Both are great places for lunch or dinner.  Wink

Agree on the Ale House. My wife and I have been several times and enjoyed it! The Hen House appears to close around noon, which can be at little early for me. It takes me an hour plus to get to Gardner. I'm in the Framingham area. I'll have to check out Williams.  cooldude
