Petcock

Looking at the petcock and noticed it seemed loose. You can move it left and right through the black metal slot thats connected to the frame. Is this thing supposed to be rigid? I believe there is a nut on the back of the unit, should I attempt to make this up tight or just leave it alone?
Thanks,

All those crappy OEM fuel valves are like that. You are talking about the knob part that connects to teh petcock and not the actual petcock mounted into the tank is loose right? If you are talking about the chrome piece leave it, theres no adjustment
