Here are a few photos from last week...

The block party - lots of interesting old buildings in downtown Dubuque:

The River Walk was just a few blocks from the hotel:

Bleachers full of bikers at the Field of Dreams:

I rode to a boat ramp near Potosi, WI to get a better view of the Mississippi.
Water was beginning to flood part of the access road, and a local guy said the ramp was about to be closed due to the unusually high water:

Catfish Charlies is a great restaurant and brewpub on the marina at the north end of Dubuque.
The owner and his wife grew up in the area and ride. Beer and food were excellent:

The Shot Tower was built in 1856 to manufacture lead shot using the 'drop process'.
It was at the north end of the River Walk:

I hardly ever use FB, so I'll post a few more...

Information about the Dubuque Shot Tower:

This was just at the edge of the block party area:

Some samples at the block party:

Nice old building downtown:

The William M. Black is an old sidewheel dredge - it's now a museum:

The 'Elevator' was a few blocks from the hotel:

Lunch at Catfish Charlie's:

Hanging out on the roof:

Farm house at the Field of Dreams:

Scenery along the Mississippi:

Nice road on the edge of the Mississippi:

House in Potosi, WI:

I splurged for a bigger room, but it was way more than I expected:

Man, I don’t know which picture I like best!
It’s a battle between the Rune and the flight of beer!
