So many colors to choose from yet so few stand out

Covington, TN

« on: June 23, 2024, 01:09:42 PM »

This question came up with a good friend of mine, that person has several.
Not asking how many you have owned but, how many do you currently have.

I'm curious because, our machines are getting older just like us.   While I'd love have just one more, I'm afraid that no matter how many are in my garage, I'll always see that one I want to add to the collection.

Rams   cheers

I  have  4 ~  2  Trikes   1 Supervalk 1  Tourer

If, it's a Valk, it doesn't matter how many wheels are on it.   I have two cruisers and one trike but, that's still three Valks.  Wink

That would be correct.   Not counting scale models on your shelf.

I just have the Cobra bike now. My friend that I sold Bruce’s custom black bike to rode over to my house yesterday. Made me almost regret selling it to him. Filthy. Pitted chrome. Just awful. He is a VRCC member but I doubt he will see this. But I wouldn’t mind if he did!

As the poling continues, it's interesting that around half the number that have one, have two.

The one I had first was certainly enough, but I couldn't pass up the 2d one.

It's nice to have a backup (to ride, or even for parts).  On my recent trip to NC/TN, I should have taken the backup.  The one I took didn't have a lot of tread on the front tire.  It had even less when I got home.   Grin crazy2

Well, mine are Orange and Black or Black and Orange, both cruisers are original Orange and Black, the trike was black and I had the Orange added.

Reference one of those cruisers, seriously considering coupling a sidecar to it just to be different.  Wink

Since the query was how many do you currently have, I went with one, but I've had as many as 3 at one time, and likely still would if we hadn't lost Big BillBF. With his loss I more or less traded my two Interstates (Indirectly) for a 'Wing... But even though all Valkyries are Goldwings, not all Goldwings are Valkyries, so technically I just have the one...

Yeah, I use to have another Valk also.   Someone in an SUV decided they could occupy the same space I and the Valk were in while motoring down the road.   That's why there's only three in my stable.
No, they didn't bother to stop.

That reminds me, I really need to look into a front and back with wide view to the sides camera system for my 'Wing (Since I ride it the most) for just such situations...

(Of course, if I did that someone would try to defy the laws of physics with me while I was on my non-camera'd Valk... The joys of multiple bike ownership.)

...I 'spose a helmet cam might help, then the system would follow the rider... Hmmm...

Is that a silver wing in the group photo. I just got one but don't know if it is a keeper yet.

Yup, it is, or rather was.... I loved it for quick around town jaunts. We had one a decade or so ago as well that the spousal unit took a few cross country road trips on with me on the Valk.

Sadly, we let a "friend" borrow it and he got rear ended on the freeway, totaling it... Sad

(Which in hindsight is extra sad. At the time it had no meaning to us, but the front fender had some custom paint on it:

...The elder spawn now wears the bottom patch as part of her uniform... )
