I'm thinking of LED's too. Also have a blue/creme 98. I was thinking
of just blue lights. Don't think red or amber would look right. YMMV cooldude

BE SURE to check your local laws, here in Cali you can't run red or blue (police colors).

I have red and yellow LED's on my bike.  I have spoken to many police officers from many different states and the laws about red lights vary somewhat, but all the officers said the same thing:  If they can't see the red lights while I was in forward motion, from the front, they wouldn't bother me.  I have had my LEDs for 5 years and have travelled from the East coast to the Rockies and back...never had a problem.  I use the Jam Strait LEDs...they are simply the BEST!  Here is the link:  http://www.jamstrait.com/snakelights.htm

I have the Kury Lizard lights. They're about 10 colors to choice from on the controller. You can just have one color or you can set it up so they cycles from color to color. They call that parade mod. The problem with lights is, at night people are attracted to your bike like mosquito's. I found some women leaning on my bike while the boyfriend was taking her picture...not cheap but I think they are the best.

I have the Swint Brand LED.  They are a combination of red and amber called FIRE.  Every other light is red or amber.  I've never been stopped by the cops and have had them for 3 years.  Very bright and easy to mount.  They have other colors but I doubt you could use them while riding.

Bikerndiver,
Did you use the stock lense covers or go with clear ones? Did you change out the flasher, if you did which one did you go with? I am also looking at some of there other lights to replace the trunk lights on the IS and change it to turn signals also. Do you have any knowledge of which lights for the trunk? Thanks

Boogie lights Cut n Clicks have a nice glow to them.  Easily installed, lifetime warranty and you can get creative with the placement.

http://www.cycle-goodies.com/ The guys name is Gary Dunn.  Great guy and will help you out with the accessories you need.

I've tried others, nothing else stands up.  Sorry I don't have any pics, but check out the gallery on his site.
