One of my interstates has had the same set of Kury Isos since I bought it 15-20 years ago (those stupid Kury 6 1/8" extra long ones) (replaced with 5 3/4").
In my bike shed, one of two bikes has to be leaned up against a wall to get them both in there, and the grip finally stress cracked (I don't lean it on the grip, but it hits from time to time).
I've done them before multiple times, but not for a long time.
Several of those tiny hex grip cap screws had to be drilled out. Both sides were a mess of old glue, rubber, electrical tape and crud. The throttle sleeve is the original, beat up but OK. The return spring isn't what it used to be. I reused a Kury throttle boss, and shitcanned the Kury helmet lock. And reused a nice billet throttle lock on the throttle side.
I never use super glue (after the first time). I usually use RTV silicone which gives you lots of time to get them set exactly right, this time I used Flex Seal rubber sealant, which still gives you time to adjust, and firm in 4 hours.
The directions say to avoid "plowing up" the glue/goop twisting them on. There is no way to avoid it, you just have to go slow and clean up the mess as you go.
Everything seems to be working on the throttle side (clutch side is perfect), but the test ride tomorrow will tell.
Not my favorite job.
