Well worth the ride around a couple corners, over a hill or two and a bridge..
Scenery from the deck overlooking a small fishing harbor ...
Tony has a couple pics I sent him Gary, he may post them if he sees this...
Beer was cold and good...food was delicious....
Top rolled down on the Jeep...Zig-zagged a few back roads both ways down and back..

Thanks Tony....Talking with the owner, she told us they just bought this place last October, and lost almost everything in the severe storms first of the year...

Wow, that sucks! Glad they're back to operating.

I wasn't sure of the location when you sent the pictures. Now knowing that it's Stonington, ME, it looks familiar. On you recommendation, Sherry and I visited in summer 2018 on the then brand-new GW.  Beautiful spot and not really a tourist trap. Roller coaster roads to get there, too. It was quite a ride for both of us because we did not have much two-up riding experience before getting the GW.   Shocked

The deck we were on Tony (8 ft above high tide) has an outside bar and opens right into the kitchen. The street level has a dining room, and the upper level is where the owners live...They lost everything in the kitchen and adjoining rooms on the deck level...

I lived in Stonington from kindergarten thru 3rd grade....My Dad was principal at the high school.

It is still a nice quiet destination for scenery, food, and beer....

It is a twisty turny up and down ride...and the bridge is kinda cool too !!!

Honestly, the bridge freaked me out a little bit. But I just looked straight ahead and rode over it. I had new two-up riding jitters, I guess.  Roll Eyes

Back in my Valkyrie days, Olaf led us on a ride there...Arnie Poland was petrified to cross that bridge.
I hung back and sat with Arnie for a few minutes before he made the ride up one side and down the other side...Same thing when we returned to the mainland....

Come to thinking of that ride, it was the first ride I attended...I had Ryan with me.
Olaf, V-Man, Dwight, Arnie, and the rest I don't think I ever noticed on any other rides.
We met in Belfast, rode to Castine then onto Stonington....Back to Belfast and dispersed from there..
