Does anyone have a shifter buddy they'd like to get rid of? I don't use social media other than the Valkyrie Riders Club and it's my understanding that is the only way to order one. If not, can anyone give feedback on the knockoffs sold on eBay?

I will get Steve Cain's phone number for you. The after market is not worth buying.

Unable to find Steve's phone number. Put shifter buddy for Valkyrie in the search. It will come up.

You're missing out, theres a Valkyrie group on Facebook that is far more active than this forum.

The nice thing about SCain's "Shifter Buddy" is that it works seamlessly with the Rattlebars kick shifter. If memory serves, the other version requires some mods. I have this setup on both my Valkyries - definitely worth the installation.

Steve is one of our fellow riders.
Steve Cain invented a product that works perfectly, is well made, and worth the price.
Someone stole his design and produced a cheaply made inferior product.
I say support Scain.

You're missing out, theres a Valkyrie group on Facebook that is far more active than this forum. There are multiple groups... and all they are doing is go over the same ground that was covered here years ago...Oh, and scammers... lots and lots of scammers.

The eBay version of the Shifter Buddy is the knockoff, it even includes a seal for less than $10, I can't compete with that. A few years ago, a guy in Belarus made a copy of my Shifter Buddy, he then sold it to a Chinese outfit that has flooded ebay with the knockoff. The knockoff is very well made but the dimensions are off so beware the knockoff could cause wear of the seal or other components. Thx Steve

If anyone has a used one for sale, let me know. I can't swing the $60 for a while since I just spent way too much rebuilding my dumb petcock.

I got the E bay variant yesterday. Very high QC as I took it apart to inspect/layout the dimensions etc. The only short coming is it is made of aluminum but seems to be again a quality unit. Silicone GREASE at the pivot and a tad of blue loctite on the screw, we be good. Finding neutral has become a task this year.
