Well this future Hurricane Helene is almost on the path that Hurricane Debbie was a couple months ago but this one is stronger Shocked Prayers for those that will be impacted. The far west side of the Pan-handle will get some wind around 30-40mph and maybe 3-5" of rain starting late tomorrow. I've reached out to Wood and Erin near Perry, FL to let them know I've got a room if they need a place. They got home today from the DRU gathering and is going to secure the place and assess later tomorrow. Prayers for all.  coolsmiley

Thursday 8am ET NHC update. Now CAT 2. Winds 100mph. Pressure 960mb. Intensifying. New track at 11am ET. Appears to be wiggling east more than predicted. Something to watch IMO the next few hours.  www.spaghettimodels.com

Angry Well Hurricane Helene did some damage around Tallahassee but I haven't found out the full extent of the roads I want to cover. I will also be talking with some county representatives along the "forgotten Highway". We were leaving Tallahassee back roads to PSJ over to Aplalachicola, and continued east to Hwy 59. I'll find out more about those roads east of Apalachicola and should know by Monday. This is very unfortunate and I'm really upset at the damage done in the area and in GA. Most of the damage is east of Tallahassee but I don't  want you all to be disappointed. Make sure you look at the Monday post after lunch sometime.  Lips Sealed

coolsmiley UPDATE : On this post and Tally Rally Post

The Hotel is fine and so is our 1st dinner planned at Backwoods Crossing. However, Lots of damage on the east side with down trees.  Most power is back on in that area with roads already cleared or being cleared. Now South of Tallahassee as you might expect and further east closer to Perry is bad but we will not be that far East where Helene came a shore.
I reached out to a friend of mine who lives just south of Tallahassee in Wakulla County. He is friends with the Sheriff's of the counties along the "forgotten Hwy" on Hwy 98 that we were taking on Friday. He will confirm with me by Tuesday Oct. 1 whether we should hold our 4th Tally Rally. He = Jay, is a rider also and is pretty certain things should be cleaned up along the road ways by the time we have our ride. Now that is our Friday ride.  Huh? The Saturday ride in the area should all be cleared, there maybe still some debris off to the side of the road but the roads are good. There was no water damage to the roads.  I'll be getting confirmation that roads are clear. Hwy 90 East out of the Hotel to Monticello had lots of trees over the road and it is now clear to Monticello. I'll keep you updated.
If you have read this and decide not to come I'll understand. But Tallahassee really did get spared. Let me know if you do NOT plan on coming. It helps with the counts. Thank you and stay tuned.  coolsmiley

Ok OK. Now Here This @@
                                    O

The Tally Rally is on. I've confirmed with my friend who is a local and the Friday ride on Hwy 98 is all clear Wink The Saturday ride around Tallahassee and S. GA is fine too. Look forward to see you there.
We have a dinner at the Backwoods Crossing Thursday night at 5pm. I'll be at the hotel between 3 & 4 with a couple riders coming over with me, Jeff & Bill. See you that the StayBridge INN on Thursday 10th.  coolsmiley
