Some Members here have stashes of certain hard to come by spares. I can NOT and I will NOT name them. Put a wanted ad in our classifieds and see if you can raise a response. RIDE SAFE.

there are new pinion cups listed on ebay and amazon.
GW GL1500, valkyrie and GL1800 all use the same pinion cup

I probably don’t have to tell you but if you need the u-joint and the pinion cup, you also needs drive shaft. And don’t forget the oil seal that goes on the pinion cup end of the drive shaft

Now that you found the VRCC. Look up near the top. Click on ShopTalk I made a slide show called rear end service by Chrisj. If you never put the rear end parts back together that slide show will save you from doing it wrong

Pro Caliber shows all your parts available. Also there’s a guy selling a brand new shaft on the classifieds.

I've used Partszilla multiple times with no issues.  Only once they ended up not finding a part, but emailed me and refunded me ASAP.

Yes they are a reliable parts site and I just ordered a ujoint from them recently, and unfortunately was more expensive that it is listed for now.

Yes and thank you . I found and ordered pinion cup and shaft will be here next week. I still would like to find a u joint in case mine seems fine by inspection but would rather change it and have a spare ujoints are in stock nowhere and all I get when calling places is availability unknown I'm calling partzilla now to see availability

Just got off.the phone with partzilla. They have no ujoints in stock back ordered through Honda no dates on availability. Thank u all for your help so far

Same answer from rocky
Same from chaparral
Same from pro caliber
Same from local Honda dealers here in Phoenix.
Nothing on ebay.
No answer from anyone in classifieds here
I'll get one eventually.

Dealers won't have much to fit Valkyrie on-site.  Most parts are ordered from a warehouse sent to the dealer or you.  New parts come to my house from Georgia, regardless of whom I order from.  So "out of stock" means there is none in any warehouse and no dealer can get it.

Sometimes a parts website is not updated and the availability (or unavailability) is not accurate.

Yes ita a bummer ujoints for valkyries are no date for availability through honda so could be months and months I can only hope ujoint is good it feels good but I won't know till I put it back together with new shaft new cup new wheel dampers and bushings. See what the ujoint then does under load during decel etc. Too bad ujoints are not readily available I'll keep my eye on ebay.

The best way I have found to test for a bad u-joint is to clamp one end in a vise. Grap the other end with a vise grip and work it at every angle you can looking for a little play. If you can’t find any play then I’d say it’s good enough

Personally I'd just order one from partzilla, if they allow it to be added to the cart and you can check out you will get one or your money back. I didn't call them, they were just the only site that allowed it to be ordered, so I placed the order and it came, you seem very determined about calling places though. My normal site I order from is Revzilla and they show out of stock and do not allow you to order, partzilla would do the same thing if they didnt think they could provide the part. The website still shows it will ship 2-3 days, what do you have to lose? $174 is a great price too, I just paid over $200.
