On the new bike I bought, '98 Standard, it seems to have stock grips but with end weights added....chrome "caps" with a red band between it and the grip.  Left side is missing and I'd like to replace but can't find exact match.

I thought they were just weights, BUT, on the right side I can loosen or tighten the end cap and it acts as a throttle lock.  If loosened all the way it hits a stop and the throttle is easy to turn.  Tighten it and you can "lock" the throttle position.

Is this common or do I have something out of the ordinary?

BTW, I'm talking to a seller who has a '98 Tourer.  The paint scheme is very dark blue over black.  Never seen it before.  He states it's OEM, at least it's how he got it from the OP.  Anyone familiar with it?

Thanks

Throttle lock and wright are not OEM. Paint doesn’t sound like stock either. Post a picture

Pearl Coronado Blue is the offering on the standards but never seen one in person.

According to the old valkyrienorway site there was no blue for the 98 tour model.  And only 1 model with a solid color of black.

Colorrite shows the same.  There is a Blue / Cream standard in two tone though.

I know the weights aren't OEM, just wondering if anyone else has weights that the right one acts as "cruise control".  Trying to determine the brand/manufacturer as I can't find a match on line.  Need to find it to match the missing left weight.

Can't get the photos sent to me on the blue/black tourer to download or save......strange.  Thanks for comments, but not interested enough in that bike to worry too much about it, was just curious as I've never seen that combo before.

I have one of those aftermarket throttle lock grip ends fitted to my electric scooter.
(it's fast enough to drive on the highway, just if one wonders...)

Works flawlessly.

On the Valkyrie I prefer the BrakeAway, though.
