Man, what a great player.  I'm sorry the gambling thing kept him out of the Hall of Fame, but I s'pose a lifetime ban is a lifetime ban.  Much respect to Pete.  R.I.P. sir.

At least he lived longer than Giamatti but....  Wink Betting on your own team games, not. Pete is a legend that we all grew up with over the years. Respected his athleticism but damn did he ruin any BB card of value you owned because of it. Most everybody has an addiction of some sort but his was definitely his bane. RIP.
