A great day to ride in PoDunk Indiana.

Today was a day of cornfields, cows and combines. Of eagles, vultures, hills, valleys, curves, woods and fields. A day of bridges, creeks, rivers and lakes. Spilled grain, dry leaves and flattened animals. A day of dust in the nostrils, sweet potato fries, a day of sticky, blown-up bugs. There were airplanes and clouds in the sky, a warm wind and a thankfulness I can't adequately express. All accompanied by the Grateful Dead, Van Morrison, & Jethro Tull, just to name a few.

In other words, it was another joyous day to enjoy The Art of Motorcycling.

Concerning the pic, the old Covered Bridge Ride went by this spot in Rockville Indiana many times. This is Benjamin's restaurant, and I truly believe they have the best sweet potato fries I've ever tasted.

That the place at Hollandsburg?

Probably be going down next week thru the week. Along the creekside at Bridgeton has the best homemade fudge IMO. Also theres a funnel cake vendor from Ohio. Once a year treats so to speak.

Nope.

This restaurant is on the South side of 36 as you head East out of Rockville towards Belmore. It's a great restaurant that was lost to a fire a few years ago. Thankfully, the owners rebuilt it and opened it back up.

Frye,

Great write-up! Man, you had my taste buds in overdrive and my throttle wrist twitching! Your descriptions all tell us you fully appreciate the wonders and joys of riding a scoot around, and of the down-to-earth pleasures of the less visited areas of our otherwise bustling communities. Congrats, my friend, you have 'arrived'!!!   cooldude
