Rim difference

I have a 2000 Valkyrie I/S that has been triked with a Motor Trike kit. They put matching rims on the bike, but the front tire keeps leaking down because of the hole they put in it for the valve stem. My question is will any Valkyrie front rim work on the bike, or do I need one for an interstate? Also, would it have to be off of 2000 model I/S? TIA

Front wheels are interchangeable. Any Valkyrie front wheel will work if you have Valkyrie forks.

There is one minor difference in some wheels. 97 year front wheels have wheel bearings with smaller OUTER diameter bearings. Same inner race specs so still interchange but will require ‘97 year bearings if replacement becomes necessary.

Does it have rubber valve stem? Maybe try a metal one with the nuts.

Challenger, it does have a metal valve stem, and that may be the problem because the original stem was a rubber one, like what is on a car tire. When I had a new tire put on it, I had them put the metal stem in and have had problems ever since. That's why I want to go ahead and put a regular Valkyrie rim on the trike.

so they made an extra hole or enlarged the existing hole for the metal valve stem? neither needs to be done to install a metal valve stem.
   either way they ruined your wheel and need to provide u with a new wheel.
