My brother was in town the other day so we took him to see the Musical Instrument Museum.  If you're ever in Phoenix, I highly recommend it -  it's world class.  We spent the day and still didn't see all of it.  They have it arranged by continent, then there's a display for the instruments of each country within the continent.  You get issued a headset and receiver when you start and as you approach each display, there's a monitor and you can see and hear the displayed instruments being played.

When we approached the Austrian display, one of the instruments shown was a steirische harmonika, a type of accordion that evidently figures prominently in Austrian folk music.  The example of it being played, was Hubert von Goisern and the band Alpinkatzen performing the song Brenna Tuat's Guat, which means "It burns well" in Austrian (the song is about money being the root of all evil).  Anyway, von Goisern is known for his fusion of Austrian folk music and rock, so you'll hear electric guitars, a steirisch harmonika and some abbreviated yodeling.  I though it was kind of cool and appropriate for Oktoberfest and yes, I already know I'm weird.

It would be interesting to hear it in english translation. I kept seeing the US flag cross the screen. Then near the end it looked like US dollars . Do they mean that the US $ is the root of evil?
Also noticed Guy Faux/Fawkes several times.

Don't they have an Octabass there ? I'm kind of interested in that since I play string bass for a community orchestra in Kansas City (I have a concert tonight in fact).

For an example-

I play one like the guy playing melody - the octabass is the BIG, DEEP one.

I must agree if you are in Phoenix and like music you must visit the MIM. It also has a world-class concert hall that seats only 299 people and no seat is more than 70 feet from the stage. They perform over 300 concerts a year. I go to MIM about twice a month to see a concert. Here is a video tour of the museum.
