This past weekend I went to Alicia's in Maine. Family and a few friends got together to do a fall clean-up and carve pumpkins, and celebrate David.
As we were getting ready for breakfast on Saturday morning I got a text from YB. All it said was "Ding-dong Avon calling." I asked "Where are you?" Panicking that he might be at my house 285 miles away. Then, I jumped to my feet and ran to the door. And there's my buddy just grinnin'. Alicia and I were very surprised and happy you and Laurel made it.
It's been 20 years since a tragic day changed many lives in this club. Terry and I were talking about the impact David had on all of us. We have had great rides, meals, fun and most of all great friendship. I never would have met any of you if I hadn't met David first some 35 or more years ago.
It's been 20 years, and not a day goes by I don't wish he was still here.
