If you get one, most have to remark the level one the new stick. Not always accurate. Other than that I like them.

It looks identical to the Two Brother's dip stick I bought 25 years ago. I still have it but somehow the glass has cracked. In use it goes to 225 degrees and stays there... for 20 years.

I've had the TruTel since '04. It works very well but in AZ heat it goes up to 225 occasionally. I find the mark on the stick to be accurate.

I have the TelTrus on 2 Valks.
The marks are not accurate for oil level (though close). I never remarked them, I only ever check level by pulling them out and using the OE dips. I only use the TelTrus for temp, and I've had to tweak the temp on them over the years a bit too (twisting the dail face).

So a stupid question about the OEM dipstick (yeah, I can be a dipstick)
The marks on it.. .these one at the very end, and seemingly one in the middle and it is just blended into the top, but no real mark...
So the true markings are the end of the stick and the middle? (My level is at the middle mark.)

Do a good drain. Add 4 qts. Check it on a spot that your bike will be regularly. Check it how it makes sense to you. On the side stand, on a center stand. Held vertically, screwed in or not. All that matters is that you do it the same way each time and wherever the oil hits on the stick is correct

A question about the OEM dipstick 4 quarts (and a new filter), are fine at oil change, but what about between changes? Honda thinks anywhere between the low and middle (which is actually the top) mark is safe. Checked with bike level and dip not screwed in. Mine always sits at the top (not middle) mark too. I would guess the amount of oil in the crankcase between the 2 marks is about a cup or so. Between changes, I'll dribble a bit in to get back to the top mark once in a while. In my years of riding 2 Valks, I can't remember ever seeing the level not show at all on a dipsitck.

I normally check with the dipstick once or twice a year but not until at least six months into a change cycle (half way through)

Make sure it’s drained well dump in the gallon and it’s NOT OVERFILLED. Ad more to satisfy some mark on a stick, now it’s overfilled.

All that matters is that you do it the same way each time and wherever the oil hits on the stick is correct That's good advice imho. I would make one change. Start the bike and run it to fill oil filter and warm it up to operating temp, let sit for a couple minutes, then record the level. I also have never needed to add oil to a Valk motor, at any time between oil changes.
