Depends on what's missing but if stock it sounds about right. Not counting factors such as rust, abnormal wear, etc.

You can pay a little less and you can pay a lot more, but it's within the reasonable range.

It is definitely a reasonable price.  I saw the following bike for sale last Sunday....don't know if it is still available...

That looks like the ballpark. $6500 for a quick sale is real good. I paid 8k 4 years ago and put 50k miles on it and IF I lost my mind and HAD to get rid of her, $8K.

Payed 9k for mine about 1 1/2 yrs ago. had alot of extras with 33,000 miles and in great condition. I would not be afraid of 7k depending on overall condition.

I just paid 6800 in Oct for a 99 with 45k miles on it. The fluids had all been changed by the dealer, they had replaced the windshield and put a new set of Dunlops on it. The asking price was 8100. Keep in mind it's winter time..you should be able to get a good price. It's a buyers market right now.

Saw this one today, 2000 with 15,000 miles - $10k.  Seemed kinda steep but ya gotta start somewhere.
