My neighbor Billy Petty age 78 died last week.   Mary and I went to his funeral this morning.    At the end of the funeral when the crowd walks by the casket and out the door he had requested the song below to be played..... It brought a few laughs and went over very well.....

Oh yeah.....there were 6 Goldwing Police escorts to take the procession 40 miles to the cemetary.  Its
40 degrees and and a steady light rain all day.   Gonna earn their money today....

I remember that song from my youth.   I believe I heard Roy and Dale sing it on their TV series.  It was part of the ending, if memory serves.

If you don't mind, I would like to add this song as one that I might possibly have played at my funeral (a thought which had never ever occurred to me to even consider)

Thank you!!!!!

Great song....believe Vince completed writing this song in the 90's after his older brother Bob passed away.

THAT brought back some childhood memories! I have 3 I'd like played at my Funeral BUT I'll never know if my wishes will be adhered to. Royal Scot Dragoon guards-Amazimg Grace-Tennesee Ernie Ford-The old rugged Cross and Willy Nelson-City of New Orleans.
And YES that was the closing song on their T V program. Simpler times!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.
