I guess if you’re into reading and national history and politics the National Archives can use some help, if you can read cursive writing from the time periods.

“ Can you read cursive? It's a superpower the National Archives is looking for.”

Those records range from Revolutionary War pension records to the field notes of Charles Mason of the Mason-Dixon Line to immigration documents from the 1890s to Japanese evacuation records to the 1950 Census.

Don't know why they say it's a superhuman power, anybody over the age of about 70 should be able to do it.  Wink

I just thought some may find this interesting or may knkw someone else who may be interested in reading and transcribing old historical papers in spare time or as a little side project.

Agreed! They need to get back to "reading, writing, & arithmetic."
