As I'd stated in another thread it are Cold here. And the more I pondered the more I liked the idea of hotcakes. So whipped up a batch well done-just this side of burned-real butter and slathered em up with Missouri raw honey! That and some fresh coffee and I are now in possesion of a happy tummy! And don't feel near as cold now as it did a bit earlier! So hows ya'lls day goin wherever you is? Just thought i'd ask! RIDE SAFE.

Dennis that breakfast sounds good. What I have 98% of the time is: Small package of oatmeal with fresh blueberries, a banana, a hard boiled egg (w. salt), two tiny muffins with butter, and 1-2% milk. Sometimes I add a small yogurt. The coffee comes earlier. I love 2-3 eggs and bacon/ham/sausage, toast and hash browns, but they don't agree with me like my usual (and nearly always add irregularity), so almost never anymore. The snow has started (again), so my day is about to suck. But thanks for asking.

Our breakfast (prepared by yours truly) was waffles and 3 strips of thick sliced bacon each. Wife did the waffles (after I mixed up the batter and cooked the bacon) and a good time was had by all...
Oh - and it was a brisk 6F when we woke up and this posting is probably the high for the day at 16F - TOO COLD !!!

Church called off because of snow, so inside, staying warm, watching the crystallized rain fall. County has already scraped the road once and if it’s slowed up before dark I’ll go out and shovel a path to the street because trash day is tomorrow and it’s starting to get deep. But then, the trash probably won’t run on time.
I had a breakfast of homemade pecan rolls, I shouldn’t have, but whatever the wife makes, I eat.
I looked at the weather map and it appears that the North Pole has moved decidedly south.

Breakfast here was normal. Eggs "stirred", bacon, toast, and a few apple slices.
Temperature here are about 57 degrees F but it's windy.
Weather forecast is for cold tomorrow and the next day and the next day. some snow.
Lows in the teens.

My breakfast is 2 eggs scrambled, cheese mixed in with the eggs, and 2 slices of bacon. Sometimes I put some salsa on the eggs. No carbs for me. Down 40 lbs so far and not looking back. I mix in some intermittent fasting, which has all but eliminated my heard burn issues. Well, 20 carbs per day is what I am limiting myself to and that is mostly from mixed nuts for a snack. Temp is currently 31F going to a high of 40. Down to 22F tonight, which is very rare for the Houston area. All of our plants are under cover in the corner of our fenced yard with a 60 watt bulb under there in an attempt to keep them from freezing/dying. Schools and both airports are already closed Tuesday and Wednesday. I guess I will be working from home those 2 days. Hay Jimmyt

My breakfast was some leftovers from the Mex restaurant last night Alalmbre? It had grilled chicken, steak, bacon, onions and cheese. I added some scrambled eggs and put it on 2 flour tortillas. More better.

yah, darn cold in midwest -11 out this morning hope car starts soon? My kid and his buddy in 20's went frigid brutal neg 10 degrees, neg 35 windchill hammock camping up by Mercer WI in northern WI and he said was NOT too bad 2 full days/2 full nights but the 3.5 mile hike back yesterday morning was brutal. NO way would I just hammock camp bundled in 7 layers overnight in neg 35 windchills. He had icicles hanging from his facial hair including his eyelashes. I told him why would anyone want to defy logic and pretend to be a homeless person?

It was okay, not as cold as -10, but cold enough. Didn't have any issues but got to cross that off the list.

When I was in Boy Scouts, we went tent camping ALL YEAR AROUND - even in the snow. One time, we were winter camping at the camp that that was used for summer camp. We were camping close to a storage building / lodge. Friday night, I was out in a tent. Saturday night - everybody was in the lodge, where there was a big fire going in the fireplace. Except for sleeping on the concrete floor it wasn't too bad.

-36 this mor. this is the last of the polar vortex this time. Over 90 hours of below 0 temps. I have an ice castle fish that drops down on the ice. I won't even take it out at these temps. Tomorrow its going back on the hard water.
