Than 80 circuits around the sun I've had some kick in da butt moments.

I do Not bounce near as well as I once did.    It's 25 here wind chill is 15.    I do NOT handle the cold as well as I once did.   Cold HURTS now!    The gittin down aint the hard part. It's the gittin back up that provides a certain degree of-dang it were never that difficult before!  2funny   My stamina aint nears as good as it once were.    Just walkin around in a store makes breathing some more difficult! COPD doncha know which Was SADLY self inflicted.   BUT on most days I manage.   I do on the other sleep rather well approx 90% of the time.   I can still consume rather spicy foods and that consumption of spicy stuff do NOT bother my stomach.     The next day on the other hand a whole nudder story!  Roll Eyes   I still enjoy a good cold beer and once in awhile and a snort of decent whiskey.    And I also realize in some ways I AM better off than some folks in my age group.   Not many I know besides a select FEW planning hopefully a multi thousand mile motorcycle road trip!  coolsmiley  I Know I am!  cooldude cooldude  It has NEVER ceased to amaze me how a M/C Ride flushes away so many ills and bad stuff.    I really really tend to appreciate M/C RIDES more now than I ever have before!  Wink RIDE SAFE.

Dennis,

Congrats on making it beyond that significant milestone! Most folks don't make it that far... far fewer actually plan multi-thousand-mile road trips, and still fewer on a motorcycle!!! Looking forward to seeing my 'role model' again in a few months!

Dennis, I know only too well what you're talking about.  Getting down is easy, and if I trip and fall down before I try to get up I look around in case there's something else I can do while I'm down there. I'm a month away from 87 so have a headstart on you. Wink

Only major issue I've had recently is vertigo, hit early in January. Went to get up one morning and when I rolled out of bed I nearly rolled across the room since it was spinning. The following week I was sent to the rehab section by my primary care dr. and they put me through some exercises with my head. They used some special goggles that were blacked out inside but had small cameras in them that caught my eye movement and recorded it. Afterward it was weird watching my eyes on the monitor and how they slowly started to stabilize. The next couple days were fine, then it came back slightly and would disappear throughout the day so went back last Wednesday for another session. This time the tech used a vibrator on the bone behind the ear on both sides and seems to have made a difference since it hasn't returned yet after two days. This and Nancy's carotid artery roto-rooter procedure on her neck has delayed going south for the winter...might trailer my old two-wheel Valk to my son in law in Louisiana then over to Texas to visit some friends. I really didn't want to spend the money in Fla. this year but had to tease blondie, telling her my money is burning a hole in her pocket. She's got a lot more than I do so I'm free to rib her about it. I think she should have adopted me instead of marrying me.  Grin

John thinkin here we may have discussed that gittin old/older aint fer wimps or wusses!  2funny And also I'm thinkin some of my warranties be close to if not already past the-best by date!  2funny Is my body sposed to sound like breakfast cereal when I unazz the rack? You Know-snap crackle pop and dang That HURT!!  Roll Eyes I'm inclined to go with all the former body abuses bill(s) that were way past due are now showin up to ne collected on or repaid post haste!  2funny RIDE SAFE.

It's only been 78 trips are the "solar" glow for me.   But, I can still do a lot of things.  I don't climb on the roof the way I did when I built the house 10 years ago.

I do have some issues getting up when I am kneeling.   But,,,,,  I am still here.

Congratulations on your achievement.    cooldude cooldude cooldude

I think she should have adopted me instead of marrying me.

That's funny right there.   Grin   Sorry for your troubles John; I hope they fix you up.

My mom, the former large lady, now at 95 is the tiny lady who they make get on her scales daily, and start drinking big milk shakes if she gets too low.  After telling her how daily walking is helping me greatly, she started going twice daily, weather permitting in MI (on an upright walker).  Not far and not fast, but on good days, out to her mailbox and back is almost a quarter mile.  I'm so proud of her.   smitten

I'll be 72 in a few days, but no one will adopt me (thank goodness).   Roll Eyes
