I had planned on ridin' my yellow bike but the ground had froze and I could'nt get the door opened  Angry I keep this one in another part of my garage and was able to set it free this morning  cooldude Temps was in the 20's when I rolled out this morning however by the time I made the Over-Look on US 129 The Dragon I did'nt even turn the Gerbings back on. I know now how cool it was to be Elvis and just buy out the entire venue because The Dragon was mine today.

I did four runs and it was greasy in a few spots with the melting snow . I just made a mental note on my first pass and hoped I would remember the next run while hammer down   Shocked  US 129 Photo was there today taken pictures on my first pass however he was gone when I came back through . I saw 4 other motorcycles today 2 in Knoxville and I passed 2 on I-140 coming home.

I hung around at Deal's Gap awhile and never saw anyone on a bike I did see a car or two drive by.

Stopped at Punkin Center on the way home on beautiful days in the summer this place is Harley Heaven. When opened they have a waterfall falling over the Honda . Big Al and I stopped in here a few years ago and the ol'Honda was in decent shape back then. Check out that chrome its still holding up pretty nice.

It would seem Punkin Center wants to be another Deals Gap ( it will never happen ) they have started their own " Tree Of Shame " .

My favorite picture of the day I took this one down by the lake where the start of the 318 curves in 11 miles begins.

Close to bein' the same bike.  I have (needs a LOT of TLC though) the GL500 Silverwing, which was a "mono-shock" set up for the rear suspension... and was more closely configured to the Goldwing's overall visual layout seating position, etc.  '83 became a 650cc and they painted the engine/tranny black, instead of the silver of the earlier ones.  The radiator sides on that one look to be very close/identical to the GL500's.  The GL was offered in '81/'82/'83 as I recall.

Joe, Thanks for letting so many LIVE vicariously through your pics. Our recent 14 inch storm is cleared from the major roads, and our back roads are generally close to passable. So Saturday or Sunday, I plan to work my way to the Expressway, just to hear the beast run for 50 or 60 miles. It won't be scenic, but the Valk and a hot cup of Jo will suffice for a few more weeks. Ride safe and God Bless.........Mike in New York

You can always do some camera work when you retire your CDL License. Maybe Zee will hire you and

you can learn the business and then take over from there.

Riding to the place to take the pictures of the places we love to ride and making a living doing it.

As Dag has stated the Photos you take capture the moment and make a person feel they have been on a ride and never leave the house.

Keep those pics coming and be safe.

I like the mini tree of shame, But how bad do you have to crash to loose a white wall for crying out loud?

Sounds like a good day Joe. Lucky 13 didn't ride with ya ? I think it was this summer you, Al, Wimp, Jack, Gordon and I had rode all day and ended up on the dragon late on sat. We had to stop just before the overlook cause a bike was down up ahead. After 30 min or so I turned around and had it all to myself back to the store. Only time I've ever got to ride any part of it with no traffic in my lane.  cooldude
Nice pics as always.
