I just called Auto Zone and asked the clerk if they could load test a motorcycle battery. He said he might be able to. He didn't know for sure.  Can you load test a motorcycle battery?
thanks

No problem in load testing it but needs the right equipment. sometimes in the auto supply stores have the electronic testers that dont take into account the smaller batteries. As long as the tester will do that then no problem. A motorcycle battery is still really the same as a car battery just a lower amperage rating so it needs to be tested at a lower amp rating. I usually test car batteries at 200 amps for 30 seconds or so if it holds to at least 10 volts then its ok. I would say on a motorcycle battery that would have to be something like 75 to 100 amps for 15 to 30 seconds. usually a ng battery will drop like a rock after the initial draw.
