Gig dollars to donuts that Valkyrie trike has No reverse. NOT even tryin to talk you out of it but something you should be aware of. Been in 1 or 2 situations where reverse was somewhat handy to have! And-YUPPERS-danged Good price! RIDE SAFE.

Yes, that is my first question. Talking it over with Boss Lady; she was quick to point out how many were going 3 wheeled Compiling a list of things to ask the seller… see if the seller will send pics of everything and anything the seller can see on the trike. Is there a Member close to maybe eyeball and finger print the trike? Neither one of the 2 trikes I have have managed to spit me off yet! BUT it IS a learning curve with that NOT LEANING the trike into curves nudder words we can Not carve anymore! BUT we iz in da wind and THATS the important thing as I see it! And I find I'm Still havin FUN when I duz RIDE! Oh yeah kind of difficult the first couple rides to REMEMBER to Not put down a foot cuz you now iz on 3 wheels kinda self balancing is it were! Leaving my subdivision I usually go right outa the driveway to the downhill stop sign and an off camber downhill left usually covered in pea gravel although the roads are paved here. When I was on 2 wheels I asked the city bout 2 or 3 times a year to sweep up the pea gravel. Since I have the trike(s) now I have yet to ask the city to sweep up the pea gravel. RIDE SAFE.

I honestly don't understand why anyone would trike a Valk and choose any model other than the Interstate.

The ad doesn't show if it is a 3 or 4 wheel trike. The 3 wheel version has two driving and braking wheels in the back. The 4 wheel version is an added pair of wheels and the rear motorcycle wheel is retained for all the stop and go work.
A 3 wheel trike conversion on a Valkyrie is considerably more expensive than the 4 wheel

Be sure to ask if it has a straight axle or independent rear suspension ... makes a HUGE difference in ride.

The pictures appear to be a true trike conversion and not the added outrigger wheeled version. (with four wheels it really isn't a "trike".)

Maybe they want to work on it themselves. All that stuff on an Interstate seems like it would just be in the way. -Mike

This trike is about 20 miles from me in Cincinnati... I was in contact with the seller Wednesday night but i was too late. He was already talking to someone with another (smaller) trike to trade and I was next in line if he didn't like the trade. I even bumped up my offer to $6,000 cash! He ended up making the trade... I asked what he ended up with and it was a 1200 HD Sporter with an outrigger package (4 wheel trike). That thing must be a dog but that's what he was looking for since the Valk trike was TOO much for him.
So I'll keep looking for those Valk bargains in my neighborhood...

Friend of mine from PGR had some UJM V twinky with that training wheel setup and within a month he'd found out too danged easy to high center it! He now has that larger Honda V twinky converted to a trike and him and mama mucho happier. RIDE SAFE.

After my move to Wisconsin following Rita's passing in 2019, I took a couple lengthy trips on my original 2-wheel Valk. I had owned it for about 20 yrs. and due to not being able to ride much while doing caregiver duties, I found I was really rusty and riding on two bothered me. I began thinking about maybe giving up riding altogether...not my first choice. I had mentioned it to my son in law and suddenly a week later he called and asked if I had ever thought about a trike. Well...yes, possibly. He then told me of a triked '99 I/S about 20 miles south of me with less than 70k on it. The rest is history as you can see by the picture, but it was highly neglected to be sure. First, following my SIL home it became evident the old girl didn't have enough power to pull a sick whore off a greasy commode. The top of the motor was covered in "coffee" stains where the intakes attached and the entire unit was covered in dust and dirt. I worked on it all the '20-'21 winter, changing out all the gaskets and o-rings except head gaskets, belts, added a 4 deg. trigger wheel...and a good cleaning that included going through the carbs. The best part...it fired up in about 2 seconds and the work done really woke it up. It had about 68k on it when I babied it home those 20 miles, I now have just under 73k. I've made three long trips on it and couldn't be more pleased with something I never thought I'd end up doing: riding a trike! A friend in Florida told me to be sure to get a couple hundred miles on it before taking a long trip, that will get you past the new experience of riding 3 instead of 2. It worked for me, and the icing on the cake...Nancy loves it, just no long trips. One final note, coming back from Rapid City I was outrunning a hailstorm on the interstate near where I live. First time I went triple digits in a long time and was on the trike...it never missed a beat or got squirrely. I hit the door remote as I pulled in the driveway and as soon the door closed the sky opened up. I patted the tank, looked skyward and said "thank you." So, if you really want to keep your face in the wind, don't look down on a good trike. You don't know what you're missing. I'll turn 87 next week and already looking forward to getting back out there...on THREE! Plus, my ride still gets lots of looks. I still have my 2-wheeler that's been for sale for a couple years now and have taken it out for a spin a few times during our limited riding season to make sure it still runs good. If interested, look in the Classifieds and make me an offer, I'll work with you. PS: Just so you'll know, the oil spot under the trike is from my granddaughter's car, not the trike.

I found I was really rusty and riding on two bothered me. John, taking Winters off much of any riding (for most of us), I've always noticed I'm a little rusty every Spring getting started riding again. Not only basic riding skills, but things to watch out for (flat animals in road, cars running stop signs, staying well back from gravel trucks), lane choices, letting maniacs pass you, etc. In my 70s, I've discovered this rustiness is just a little more pronounced than I'm used to. My bike got away from me in my own driveway last week and I let her down easy. And I bench pressed her back up, but that wasn't as easy as it used to be either. But this is a cautionary tale. With the first warm day at sunup here and 80 later, I'm heading out on my longest ride of the season. I'm a 50 year experienced rider (and former instructor), but I am not indestructible. I will have fun, and I will be careful doing it.

Gig, I will keep my eye out for a trike for you also. Well, actually, I'll keep my eye in, seeing as it won't come out, but you know what I mean. Since going to a trike last year, I have grown to really like it, and Steph feels much safer on it because of my knee, that likes to give out now and then. I went with a Goldwing trike with a Hannigan kit on it. It is a smooth rider for sure. I can't scrape pegs anymore through the twisties, but at 76, I probably don't need to. The trike definitely holds it's own.

I now have a 2012 G W with the motor trike conversion kit But I do Not know which triple tree is installed the 4.5 or the 6 degree. I too miss draggin pegs But at 80 I may not need to anymore. The THING is as we here all Know is the being in the Wind! RIDE SAFE.
