Bumped into Tony the other day. Really good to seeing you. Sent my mind back that it was about a good 24 years ago that I bumped into y’all on the first Moosehead Lake run and all the rides since. The last dozen or so years working at the grocery store screwed up my free weekends, so my ride time pretty much ended. Having the Hayley trailered to the shop next week to get a new battery and serviced (remove the mice nests) and get it ready for sale. These old bones aren’t what they used to be. Anyhow I still have all the memories of the rides, the scavenger hunt that got me lost into RI when I should have been in CT, the BBQ and the pie lady, and yes event Wall’s muffler falling off.  Been finally traveling the rest of the world to see where Nancy has been running tours. The best tour was South Africa and Victoria Falls and two Christmas's ago Tanzania. Next July I’ll be heading to Alaska for two weeks. So thank you all for all those memories of riding through New England, the long rides, the short rides and the BBQ rides. I wish we could stay young for a much longer time. Cheers!m |

Hey Scott! It was nice catching up with you last week at our local hardware store.  Lots of great memories over the years, including VRCC rides and memorable rides to Nova Scotia and the Cabot Trail and Quebec City and the Gaspe Peninsula. It's hard to believe that was over 20 years ago. Here's a blast from the past at Laconia Bike Week many years ago. Terry's doing is Pirate thing!   Glad to hear the you're enjoying retirement. It's great that Nancy is still leading tours and that you guys have traveled to exotic places. If you decide you want to take a final ride or two on your HD, let me know and I'll ride with you.  |

Bike goes into the shop next week. The registration has been renewed, and Sheldon’s will inspected it. Will probably have it back,in a week or so. Once it’s home we’ll see what happens. These ole bones aren’t working like they used to.

Hi Scittie, nice to see people stopping in to say hi once in awhile. You are right about the memories and the rides we use to do.
Good luck with the bike repair and sale if that's what you decide to do. Maybe take it for a ride and decide it's not time to hang it up?

I wish we could go back twenty or so years, insert a new page and continue our adventures. I loved exploring New England on two wheels, as well as the rest of the country. Although I didn’t get the miles on the Harley like I did the Valk, I did do a 21 hour ride from Atlanta to Boston when I changed out the suspension.
NE-VRCC rides will be hard to forget, both for the scenery but mostly for the riders and friends I made along the way.
