Here in the high country of AZ, the night time temps get down around freezing, but could be 60ish daytime. A 3 year old girl disappeared off the front porch mid afternoon. Mom missed her and called. The small community was shutdown and nobody left the area with out a search. Searched the countryside. Dark fell and they gave up till dawn. Her Queensland healer also disappeared. At daylight the dog was spotted (1/2 mile from the house in a ravine) and the girl was OK (barefoot all night). The dog snuggled with her all night and kept her warm and ran around when the chopper flew overhead. The pilot tried to get Queenie into the chopper but the dog refused till the girl safe onboard. What a DOG!!

Good to hear a happy ending for a change  Smiley

In the town just up the road we had a monster kill his girl-friend 3 year old son friday  Angry

I wish they would hang these low lifes that do harm to a child up by the nags in the middle of town and let the fly's and maggot's eat them.

What a great outcome.

I doubt my Healer "Colby" would stay with the girl all night like that. Healers are extremely smart and loyal. I just hope my 1 year old grandson never takes off to test my healer.

Great story with a happy ending!  That's why they call them man's best friend.
