This question is about the inside of the starter switch.
I have been busy with the throttle cables and when I was finished, I noticed a small curved copper piece on the floor
I did not disconnect or remove any switches but I suspect it to come off the starter switch because the engine won't start, perhaps it does not make contact any longer when depressed.
So nothing happens. Everything else works just fine except I cannot get my starmotor to work with the switch.
I checked and cleaned the kill switch to be sure
Possibly there is another, second piece of copper involved since I noticed some copper lying on the motorblock that I did not recognize.
There is a red/yellow and black/grey lead attached to the switch.
According to the electrical diagram the R/Y wire is connected to the startmotor
The BL/Gr connection is going to the Ignition Control Module (ICM)
Neither one is reading 12V when the ignition is on and starterbutton is pressed
On below pic, notice the inside of the starter switch
I have an F6C (export version). It's a little bit different because it has an extra lights on/off switch but that should not matter, it's a different switch and the lights are working fine.
When the starter button is pushed the spring is pressed inwards, I cannot see if and where any contact is made however.

This pic is showing the copper (sort of sliding) curved piece with a small resistance/contact bulge inside

Does anyone perhaps know if the copper piece belongs to the starter switch and if it does, how I can put it in the right place again. And if not where else the copper piece may come from?
TIA
