I found this plastic on Amazon. It’s essentially very similar if not exact the same as what your truck leading edge hood deflector is made of.

I needed to direct some airflow a little higher over our heads while driving especially at highway speeds.

You can place this in boiling water or like I did, use a heat gun and it gets very soft do you can make it any shape you need and then it cools pretty fast and doesn’t change the finish at all. It’s really neat.

These seem to be making a difference.

Good deal Jeff.   cooldude

I only wear (good DOT) half helmets with good corrective specs, but even behind the big Interstate shield and fairing the wind has been bothering my old eyes so much, I've taken to lowering the little half visor on my helmet.  But it's dark as hell (black) and with my dark shades, it's just too dark to see well with both.  So I've changed up and now wear my clear distance only specs with the visor down.  And my eyes appreciate it.

And I'd like to do a shout out for the best eye drops I've ever used.  Unlike some that burn or are just bleach to take the red out, these are super mild and gentle with no burning at all.  And my old eyes really appreciate a few drops before every ride I take.  Good for pollen too.  (getting old sucks)

There is a 1/2” deep groove in the leading edge of the top of the frame of the windshield.  The groove is for the soft top to mount to. The plastic wasn’t thick enough for a tight fit so I made dimples along the edge that goes into the slot. After a couple tries it wasn’t hard to get the right size dimple so it was a snug press fit

Took the car to breakfast today. What a huge difference at highway speeds. This will make longer drives less tiring. The constant buffering was not horrible but after awhile it’s a bit fatiguing.

Out of curiosity, why not go across the whole span?

Looks like it might serve as a little bit of a sun visor too.

The biggest the material was available was 36”. Way more expensive
