I suppose I can order one from them, but I just thought I'd ask.

Had great ride today, decided to flip down my engine guard mounted Hwy pegs, and felt one let loose.  Rolling along, I look down and the thing is just hanging straight down ready to fall off, so I reached down and grabbed it before it did.

Kury quick clamp, to clevis, to large ISO peg.

The Kuryakyn clevis bolt is an 8mm hex drive.

When I got home I went through all of my big parts bin (20 bags of this and that).  Lots of bolts but not the right one, and nothing that can be made to work.  I scavenged one off the bike I'm not riding to fix the one I am.

Anyone?

I think I found the bolts online, but everyone's either of stock or knows what they have...

Kuryakyn 4538

Search on that, will find what I think it is you're after if I'm understanding correctly...

$10 for two at Revzilla, but they're out

Someone who's actually got 'em wants $50 'cause they know what they've got:

I figured you're also looking for any of us who happen to have a spare in their goodie boxes. I.... migth... but likely. I'll try to take a look see tomorrow if work allows.

Thanks guys.

Later yesterday, I went looking online and found another outfit that lists them and intended to call them today.  Their web page doesn't say they're out of stock, but that doesn't mean they're not.

Everyone else is, including Amazon.

And I suppose I could try Kuryakyn direct.

This is a picture of Kury #4538 (thanks Brian), and I also need the little D spring clip washer too.

The funny thing is, the (obviously identical) Hwy peg on the other side has been giving me trouble for a long time.  It gets all floppy and starts dropping down hitting bumps (the D washer went missing long ago, and that's probably why).  I snug it up good but in short order, it's floppy again.  I'm very gentle in the snugging (that stuff is brittle and will break) but almost have to make it unmovable by hand to make it stay up.  And then the other one breaks.   crazy2

I use them so little on this bike because of traffic and because if I'm not careful I can burn my short legs on the hot valve covers.  The Hwy peg rig on my other bike include offsets bringing them back to perfect for me (and I just never got around to getting offsets on the other bike too).

Kuryakyn is usually SAE. M6 AH wrench is very sloppy in comparison to 1/4". You can get chrome bolts at Ace but longer AHCS might be a issue.

I use http://www.allensfasteners.com/default.asp for my hardware supplier. They have a good selection of SS hardware. Very cheap prices thus make a shopping list. SS buffs out nice thus replacing chrome especially in a "dirty" location.

Thank you so very much Jeff.  That looks like the right stuff, and just like the pic I posted.

I'll happily pay postage and any other out of pocket.

And no giant rush either.

Look for PM (just sent to you).

Grateful in VA   cooldude
